The Qur’an is the most read book in the world and it is the first entry to understanding Islam and its true teachings. And here comes the significance of such precious service.
Providing translation to the meanings of the Qur’an in different languages is of paramount importance with remarkably growing impact on masses of non-Muslims – besides it is one of the key reasons of their embracing Islam. As for Muslims, such translations are a bonus, helping them better understand their religion, and act upon the teachings of Book of Allah (Exalted is He).
Having this in mind, EDC is developing new technologies and tools that facilitate access of Allah’s own words, the Qur’an, and the moderate message of Islam to people around the world.
Apple iTunes streaming radio is one of the first da`wah applications the EDC considered using, where there are more than 400 Christian and Jewish podcasts, besides Apple’s growing popularity, particularly of smartphones and tablets.
Entering such competitive arena is a considerable blessed success, by the help of God. And it is indeed the first step in EDC team’s efforts and achievements in spreading the Qur’an in more languages besides English, to more internet users all over the world.
Goals and Objectives:
- Spreading God’s own words, the Qur’an, to a growing segment of multicultural internet audience as the Prophet (peace be upon him) indicated: “Convey from me, even if it be only a single verse.” (Al-Bukhari)
- Helping new Muslims and converts stick more closely to the Qur’an through listening to live Qur’an recitation from anywhere in the world.
- Reaching non-Muslims who would like to learn about the Qur’an and its tolerant teachings, being translated into their own languages.
- Non-Muslims interested in learning about the Book of Allah and its teachings
- New Muslims
